10 seats for $10, now that’s friendly skies

It seems that there is finally a US based airline that truely understands low fare. Yeah there is JetBlue and Ted and others, but none of those are really cheap.Look at EasyJet and RyanAir, they are selling tickets in Europe for just a few Euros/Pounds, your total cost is higher due to taxes, but that’s not their fault.
Skybus fell into my raider a while ago but it just popped up again. They make their money by offering a set number of seats for a set amount. The biggest deal are that the first 10 seats go for $10. Now much like the European low-fare carriers, they don’t fly out of or into major airports, but for $10 it may be worth a bit of an extra drive. Their hubs are in Columbus, Ohio and Greensboro, NC.
Our fares are so much lower than other airlines because we keep our costs lower. For example, we book our flights only through the Internet, so there’s no expensive call center or 800 number to operate. We fly new, fuel-efficient jets so our fuel costs are lower. And we fly into smaller, regional airports where it’s less expensive (and more convenient) to land. We also allow each passenger to pick and choose the options he or she wants, making fares lower for those who don’t need the “extras”. These and other factors make it possible for us to give you great service at a price you’re sure to appreciate.
I know that these types of airlines are not for everyone, but it is great to offer cheap fares as an option. For the rest of you folks, next time check out FareCast before booking your next flight. I have saved a bunch of money by relying on the fare prediction and just love their interface.
